Funding: Bat Conservation International (BCI) Student Scholar and IDEA WILD

An IBRG member, Nur Izzati Abdullah was granted funding by BCI as one of their International Student Scholars in 2020 and IDEA WILD in 2021.


The BCI funding has enabled Izzati to carry out fieldwork in Malaysia and IDEA WILD has aided her with equipment (One (1) Song Meter Mini Bat Ultrasonic Recorder and Two (2) PetiDream Bird Netting) needed for her project.


Izzati’s project focuses on finding out more about the ecosystem services provided by bats, one of the main insect pests population controllers in the rice field area in Malaysia.
